Amazon Prime Video to Include “Meaningful Ads” in 2024

Amazon just revealed that Prime Video would include limited commercials beginning in early 2024. In addition, the business emphasizes that adverts on Prime Video would have fewer commercials than those on linear TV and other streaming platforms. Users may pay an extra $2.99 (about Rs 250) each month for ad-free watching on Prime Video.

According to The Verge, adverts will begin to appear in regions such as the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada on January 29. Later, the same will be done in markets such as France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Australia. There is yet no indication that this also applies to the Indian market.

Prime Video provides movies and TV series in up to 4K quality, and is available on smartphones, tablets, computers, and smart TVs, with a single subscription allowing access to Prime Video on four devices at the same time.

One of the perks of an Amazon Prime subscription, which costs Rs 1,499 in India, is Prime Video. Free same-day or next-day delivery, Prime Music, Prime Gaming, and Prime Reading are also available. Amazon also provides extra benefits in regions such as the United States, such as unlimited picture storage on Amazon Photos, free grocery delivery, and a one-year Grubhub+ subscription.

There is also an Amazon Prime Lite subscription in India, which costs Rs 799 a month and has fewer benefits. Users may now purchase Prime Video Mobile Edition for Rs 599, which grants access to all content via the Prime Video app on a smartphone or tablet. There’s also the Amazon Mini TV, which is available only in India and offers free mini-movies and web shows.
